The Artist Alley staff will determine whether a piece will be sold on Silent Auction or at Live Auction. Artists can request their preference, but we do not make any guarantees. Pieces for the Live Auction will be selected on many criteria including sellability, variety of art styles, bidder interest, etc.
[ONE] There is a non-refundable $2.00 per piece fee to sell your artwork in the Silent or Live Art Auction. This fee is due in cashwhen the piece is delivered.
Kawaii-Kon Arist Alley will also retain a 5% commission off the final sale price of any purchased piece.
[TWO] We will not accept mailed artwork. Pieces must be submitted in person on Thursday evening or Friday morning. The deadline to submit artwork for the auction is 11:00 am Friday morning. Auction pieces will not be accepted after that time. If you are not able to make the scheduled drop-off times, you must make arrangements in advance with the Artist Alley Director.
[THREE] You will be allowed to set the starting bid (minimum bid) price for your artwork on the application form. Please consider your starting bid amount carefully and keep your price reasonable.
[FOUR] Each Artist may auction a maximum of five (5) pieces. Multi-piece sets that auction as a single sale may count as one “piece.”
[FIVE] If special arrangements are required, such as for very large or freestanding pieces, please contact the Artist Alley Director at least 4 weeks before the start of the convention.
[SIX] Once entered into the show, pieces may not be withdrawn and the conditions of sale may not be changed. This includes the amount of minimum bid, title of the piece, etc.
[SEVEN] All pieces not claimed by the pickup deadline will be considered abandoned and become property of Kawaii-Kon.
Kawaii-Kon Art Show and Auction will welcome art pieces of any media type and style within the following rules.
