Whatever the case, Artist Alley would love for you to be a part of the Artist Alley experience. - February 25, 2012 (or when sold out): FINAL deadline for table purchases.
Table Assignment Procedures
Tables will be assigned in the order your payment was received. We will make every effort to accomodate your indicated preferences.
Priority will be given to
1) Vendors who pre-registered at the end of Kawaii-Kon 2011.
2) Returning vendors from 2011 who submitted BOTH their application and payment.
3) New vendors who have submitted BOTH their application and payment
The remaining tables will be assigned on a first come, first served basis, upon receipt of both your payment and application.
Once tables are assigned you will receive an email containing your table assignment, a map to the room, and other information regarding your table and Artist Alley. Check your email often.
If you are found in violation of the rules, the Artist Alley and/or Kawaii-Kon directors reserve the right to remove you from Artist Alley. If this happens, you forfeit your table registration fee and will not be allowed to exhibit for the remainder of the convention. Severe violations may result in a suspension or permanent ban as an Artist Alley exhibitor.
[ONE] Artist Alley vendors may only sell their own ORIGINAL artwork and creations. Vendors cannot sell licensed or logo merchandise unless it can be considered “fan art.” Vendors may not sell "mass produced" items. Artist Alley defines "mass produced" as more than 100 units of a single item. Resellers and commercial artists are welcome to purchase booth space in the Dealer’s Room.
[TWO] You may not damage, mark, or disfigure any of the provided equipment (including tables, chairs, table skirting, carpets, etc.). The Honolulu Convention Center requires the use of special tape on any carpeted area. Do not tape anything to the carpet. If an area poses a tripping hazard, see the Artist Alley staff. Report any accidental damage to the Artist Alley Director as soon as possible. You may be held responsible for any fines incurred by Kawaii-Kon resulting from these damages.
[THREE] Artist Alley Directors and Staff will enforce a safe and respectful environment for the artists and guests at Artist Alley. As such, vendors must abide by all instructions given to them by Kawaii-Kon and Artist Alley Directors and Staff.
[FOUR] Vendors in Artist Alley should conduct themselves in a professional manner.
[FIVE] No more than 4 chairs will be allowed per table (2 per half table). Freestanding forms must be secure and not endanger public safety. Your items cannot extend into the walkways or into other vendors' spaces.
[SIX] Per Fire Department regulations, additional power strips may not be plugged into the ones provided. If you require more outlets, see the Artist Alley staff.
[SEVEN] Keep the noise levels from your booth at a reasonable level. Music and other audio should only be audible to those in and immediately surrounding your booth. Kawaii-Kon and Artist Alley reserve the right to have you turn down or shut off any audio deemed too loud.
[EIGHT] Kawaii-Kon and the Kawaii-Kon staff are not responsible for any personal items or merchandise on your table. Artist Alley is generally a friendly, safe area but we still recommend that you watch your merchandise and belongings.
[NINE] Artist Alley is a family-friendly area. You may sell “adult” oriented material to customers 18 and over, but be discrete about displaying these products. Kawaii-Kon and Artist Alley reserve the right to have you to remove display items that are deemed offensive or inappropriate.
[TEN] Confirm you are providing a valid email address and check your email often. If you do not hear from us, contact the Artist Alley Director to ensure we have your correct email address. Artist Alley is not liable if you do not receive information because you did not check your email or provided a faulty email address.
[ELEVEN] If special arrangements are required, please contact the Artist Alley Director no later than 2 weeks before the convention.
