Yet this cultural asset and its value go beyond national boundaries and time zones – it is a shared global asset transcending race, language, and nationality in providing enjoyment to people. GoFa supports this global trend and is a strategic base for furthering it.

The Establishment GoFa
Kabuki and group dance are widely known around the world as representative Japanese performing arts. Arts such as taiko drumming and buto dancing are performed in front of full houses in venues such as Carnegie Hall. Moreover, Japanese architecture, fashion design and music are well appreciated both in Japan and around the world. Yet while these arts may be a trend sweeping over the world, their popularity has not inspired a movement and therefore has not reached its full potential.
Games and illustrative arts are some of the few Japanese artistic assets to enduring popularity internationally. People around the world watch Japanese animated films and shows such as Ultra Man, Godzilla and Gameran on television, all of which have influenced the world of science fiction special effects.
The time has come for a system that raises recognition of Japanese contemporary arts and international exhibitions of them to a level commensurate with the nation’s economic strength. Animated film, science fiction special effects, games and illustrations are entertainment arts developed in Japan and represent an important Japanese cultural asset. GoFa is a gallery that serves as a strategic base for reaffirming the value of these arts and supporting their global popularity."
