Hallway Costume Contest

Proud of your costume but not looking forward to being on stage? Then this contest is for you!

Simply sign-in at the Hallway Costume Contest table, and have your picture taken. On Friday (March 16th), 12-5pm will be for picture taking only, and 5-9 will be for voting only. On Saturday (March 17th), 10am-1pm will be for picture taking only, and 1-4 will be for voting only. At the end of each period, the people with the most votes will win a prize. The winners will be announced at the Cosplay Showcase on Saturday (time: TBA) in the Main Events room. You must be present to receive your prize. Costumes submitted in the Hallway Costume can be from any source.

 

Rules:

  1. Costumes already entered in previous Kawaii Kon Contests or Showcases cannot be entered in the competition. In other words, you cannot enter again with the same costume you wore a previous year.
  2. To enter a competition, your costume must fall into one of these categories.
    1. A majority of your costume was created by you.
    2. Your costume was assembled from at least 3 different sources of pre-made pieces, and you must have created at least one aspect or piece.
  3. No actions that risk harm to participants or spectators will be tolerated. Weapons may be unsheathed to take the picture, but NOT swung around. Violators will be disqualified and removed from the premises.
  4. No nudity. Topless males are okay, but topless females are not. If in doubt, cover it up.
  5. The Cosplay Coordinator has final say in all circumstances and disputes. He/She may change the rules at any time if necessary.
  6. You may enter a costume only once, for only one costume contest, during Kawaii Kon 2011.
  7. Lastly, have fun! You labored for several hours/days/weeks making your costumes and judges would love to see great energy and a smile! :D
