Just wondering... anyone going to the Japanese Culture Center of Hawai'i's New Years Ohana Fest, per chance? http://jcch.com/Default.asp
The date of the fest is this Sunday, January 8, 10am-4pm at the center, and Moili'ili field. Food booths, games, entertainment, and possibly... cosplayers... like me!
Went to last years' fest, and it was very informative, (had the KK booth there...
), entertaining, and educational in the Japanese culture, very community minded... but of course, the food is what gets me! 
I missed it last year, so this year I may go check out and sit in the traditional tea ceremony... in full cosplay, of course...
