@odiemodie: er, you know about that Naruto cosplay skit thing Im thinking about doing its for the main Kon Cosplay Showcase Contest...its not the cosplay theater im talking about...just felt like clearing that bit up...although for what im thinking about doing..it should really be a cosplay skit... but ehnn..made up my mind if Im doing anything Naruto..its gonna be for the main event :twisted:

Aye, yes, I know, Mango-Kun sista. I guess it was the way I posted it. I should had said "... the other event, the Cosplay theater". My bad, but whatever regardless, I'll be there for the Cosplay Showcase Contest, if I get my cosplay completed before the Kon, I'll be competing also. Still, I will support you, at best, if you win, I'll let out my "Rebel yell" for you!

Funny... that might be weird to hear that coming out from a character like Mega man! :lol:

I believe Mango-Chun mentioned what bus to catch some posts earlier in this thread, Prez Raijin. I would say, but don't want to give you the wrong info by accident... Dang that Odie!

So, OK... as we get closer to our anticipating first ever GT, not to mentioned the main attraction, the singing performances of our sistas, Mango-Kun and Mashiro, I hope everyone has a way to get to Orvis, because IF I am freed up more on Sunday, I can pick up tha prez in Mililani, then whomever else needs a lift that is along the way. Since the meet up time is 5-5:30pm, have to be alittle early, 3:30-4pm for the first pick-up, depending if there is more that one or two pick ups (my car can only take four passengers max, five if one is willing to sit on someone's lap, or trunk it in the rear space. JJK, that might be rather nice, boys and girls crammed together like one big happy family inna car, but don't wanna have the "blue-light special" comin' up on our rear fender, so safety first! Aaaa... we'll see...

).

Oh, yeah... Zyconis PM'd me saying he can come on out to join us, provided he can shag a ride too. Yo, welcome, brother!

And we gotta have a group/club PHOTO OP. I'm thinking of posting us on this KK site to premiere to everyone who we are, how we the LGC looks like (Gaaah, I can't believe I'm doing this... incognito time! :lol:

) just before the Kon.

So, LGC'ers, get "Matrixed", get "dressed to impress", and get ready to strike a pose!

@Raijin, if you don't mind, my friend , I can pick you up at your house, or, some place close, maybe the shopping center, the main or town center, or whatever arrangement that is comfortable for you, I'll comply.

No worries, I have to also meet up with someone else for the first time also, Abunai, probably at Pearl Ridge to give him something he had asked me before (speaking of him, I have to get back to him on that). The difference is,I befriended him through these forums/threads, just like you and the rest of the LGC members, but we are club members, belonging to the same group we have formed, so the Bud" factor will definitely be the norm and mainstay for us as members of the LGC. Kinda like in the new Star Trek movie, Kirk and Spock meeting for the first time, of what will be a wonderful gathering of strangers turned into friends. Guess who is Spock?

So, let me know, post back me here, or PM me, El Presidente'!

Affirmative, I copy that! Hokay, I know where that is, my nephew sometimes go there to work out with his buds, perhaps one day I'll introduce you to him. He could pass for a ninja, of sorts.

I still need to check the pick-up time though, which was supposed to be 3:30-4pm. Too early? Hopefully, traffic won't be too choke on that day, Sundays are supposed to be a laid back day, but there could be events going on in town , so better early than calling it close. I'll confirm it before or on Friday.

Again, my car will be a faded gray 1992 Honda Accord S/W that looks kinda worn out, but is a trusty steed that gets you point A, to point B.
I myself will be a 5.7 slim Polynesian-looking bloke wearing glasses/shades, and sporting BLUE HAIR... nah, JJK. Though, that sounds tempting... and of course, dressed in black, maybe with a red tie on too. My car's A/C, and radio/CD player is out, so expect to have a long conversation on the way down... :lol:

(You can bring an Mp3 along, if you like.) I'll check with Zyconis if he is along the way, and needs a lift too.

No need to worry Mango-Chun, I suggest we ALL officially meet after the prelims. Us brothers, tha guys, can see you two when you're done, like a bunch of Hawai'i idol groupies. (ha, ha.. that's too funny... groupies...

). Though, we can try briefly see you before hand and say some words of "good luck" and "GEEVUM, SISTAHS!" "REPRESENT!"

I think it it would be alot more fun of a surprise for you to see who you will be meeting afterwards... "Woah, is this how you guys REALLY LOOK LIKE?" :shock:

@Saiyan, we can still meet up at that time, just that we won't have a meeting until after the prelims, it will be at BK across campus. If it is not too late, and nobody has CURFEW, we can have a easy going meeting, and some grinds before we head on out, instead of rushing on out.

AND... I have an another ANNOUNCEMENT: I've made contact with another cos'er from the forums, and I invited him to come and join us for tha "sistas support". He accepted and said he will be coming out to meet us. Hint: He said he is the drummer of a band, and did a redo on the Caramelldansen! The name of this fellow cos'er? RENTAROU! Won't it be cool if the LGC had a drummer in our club? A band member? That would really kick arse! He didn't say if he wanted to join, sooo...OK... who's gonna recruit him?

Any objections? He's gonna stay only for a little while to watch the prelims, so make it fast, someone!

Alrighty, I've said enough, and I've got alot of things to square away right now, namely, my undone, unfinished COSPLAYS... *mind goes blank*... then back online... will continue! :wink:

All kidding aside... Sounds to me, Saiyan, either you're saying the time for the meeting is too late, or the prelims itself is, or you being out that late in Manoa on a Sunday night, is late? Do you have a car? Do you need a ride back? If not, then I can offer you one, provided it doesn't get too late, because I will have Raijin and possibly Zyconis to take home also. Hopefully, that will not be a problem. I want to see everyone safety having a ride and getting back home at a proper time.

With that said, as LGC's Advisor (being the "Elder" member, the "Statesman", I'll claim that title, for now...), the question to bring up is, who has to be back home at a certain time? In other words, who has a "Curfew"? If most of the members has to dig out almost after the karaoke prelims, then we'll have it early, but it's best we have everyone accounted for. Mango-Chun mentioned it is too early for her, I can see that being so in part because the time is too close to the start time of the prelims, that she has to reg/check in, ready up, then be on hand when they call her next up on stage. If it gets too complex to make the meeting GT, then we need to postpone and reschedule it a later time and date. The only one I can think of is Thursday when most of everyone attending the Kon will be picking up their passes, perhaps set a time to meet? Some of us will be going to that pre-Kawaii Kon dinner party, so have it before, or after the dinner. The least, borderline time to meet will be what I mentioned earlier in this thread is the first day, Friday, perhaps in the morning time, a real quickie, a briefing before the "swearing in" proceedings.

Speaking if which, I still need to know the Kon's schedule ASAP so we can set the time to have it, to inform Sephi ( who's filming it), and two other important "guests", the officiating guest for the swearing in, and if possible, a Shindo priest to do a blessing for us, to give us hope, and much success, which is only fitting at a Japanese anime Convention.

And just a reminder, I'm a "grown-up", so I really don't have a curfew, but I do have a home and responsibilities I need to return to myself. My main conern on this is I don't want to have some worried and upset parents or guardians amping out on us, me in particular.

So, imputs, everyone, what's your stats?

Again no worries, my SAA, I got yer back. Even if it means we have to pack everyone like sardines into the car to get our group home. As for the denial of Mango-Kun's appearance tommorrow tonight, which is a big bummer, a clank inna the gears with a monkey wrench, we have to now support Mashiro, hopefully she doesn't get cold feet and go fo' the "No show". Odie, your ideas have rekindled my thoughts on the matter. While it is sad that some may not be able to make it, I suppose one should still check out the karaoke prelims, just to meet others. And as for the sardines, I've been in that situation many times on TheBus and in small cars, despite my 6-foot stature.

Now, as far as the event itself goes, and LGC-spotting, what time should we be there by, and how will ye be showing yourselves? Personally, I'll probably say something in a Mario manner, seeing as how I can't find my 'stache, and any other part of the outfit would just be too much, lol.
