As long as the sheath and hilt is sturdy enough to hold the zipties together, then the sword is fine to bring.

We peace-bound swords tightly enough that it cant be opened, so it the hilt is weak, then we are gonna have to use additional zipties to secure the sword.

It would be rather strange to see something that is not in anyway a "practical REAL world-working weapon", "peace-bounded".

But then again, I would take that as a compliment. :)

Well, if someone were to mow people down with a gun like that, even if for fun, we would have to stop that. Even if people say, "It was all in good fun," we would not want to be held responsible for something that could have been prevented.

Okay, it's me again, with another chakram question. Judging by the picture ,(just scroll down to see it) does the spikes on it seem dangerous in any way? I might get it commissioned from that site if I have money. http://www.kingdom-arts.org/props.html Otherwise I'm just going to make it out of styrofoam and cardboard.

The weapon looks fine and since its made of plastic, there should be no weight problem......but if possible, dont sharpen it or strengthen the weapon.

yes, It should be fine. I think the term your looking for is "PVC pipe".

So I have a 2 ft. fake bazooka made out of PVC pipe that I'm guessing is fine. Does this need to be orange tipped? I ask because it's not really a gun, and very obviously non-functional (you can see through from one end to the other because it's hollow). Thanks!

yes, that should be fine.
No, it wont need an orange tip.
But its still gonna have to be checked and zip tied.

I have basicly a kingdom key that goes with my sora cosplay.
Though I have read the weapons policy, and find it that I might not be able to bring it.

Its size is more than half of how tall I am, and its made out of metal. Its sorta heavy but can be carried with rope tied to my back. Is it okay to bring it, by the description?

Do I need to check in with staff to see my weapon is safe?

If its gonna be tied on you at all times.
Then there should be no problem.

And yes, even if its deemed safe, All weapons MUST be checked by security staff.

Just a question... but how heavy is "too heavy", is there a certain specific weight limit to a weapon?

If its to the point that you cant carry it or you have to drag it...Its too heavy.
If its heavy enough that if you drop it, it can cause someone's toes to bruise or bleed...Its too heavy.

So i guess, yeah...there really isn't a specific weight all around, but for each individual.

So, I have a friend who is going to be Hawkeye for the Avengers and I was wondering we bought a bow set from Sport Authority MIND YOU it is a childrens set. I'm making it.
NO AMMUNITION will be taken (:P) of course.
the thing about the bow is that when when the string is taken off it falls apart.
Can I just glue it and bring it without the string???

is that ok?

It really depends on how realistic you made your nerf gun into.
We ask that you bring the weapon to our kiosk and get it zip tied at the least.

Just curious on the rules for wooden weapons are they allowed? If they are what are some the rules that might make it fail to pass inspection?

I believe someone brought a wooden bat this past year. If the above item in the picture is the wooden weapon you're talking about, it should pass inspection.

Also...
Clubs / blugeoning weapons (including wooden swords)
1. No rigid metal piping may be used in the construction of any weapon / prop
2. No brittle construction materials (for example, glass or acrylic sheet) can be used in the construction of any weapon / prop
3. No 'sharp' points – all points must be constructed of non-rigid / soft materials
4. Keep weight in mind – the bigger an item is, lighter the construction material is required
