Recently, there have been leaks about the next upcoming Pokemon game, Black and White, in Pokemon's 5th generation. It's shown that the game is going to have higher 3D features without th need for glasses. Not much is know so far, but you can find information about it on Serebii.net. I will continue to update this page when I find any new updates on the upcoming game. If you can, please help with any updates on the game.

I'm hoping it will be compatible with the "DS". I mean, the old DS has some pretty good 3D capabilities. It's basucally saying that you need to get this certain DS in order to play. I heard some rumors that the 3DS is for an extra feature, seeing games in 3D without glasses. It'll probably be compatible with the old DS, just the new one has a new 3D feature.

Since the images of all evolutions of the starter have been leaked, which starter is everyone going with? Sticking with the first impressions you had with only seeing the 1st form? I'm not a fan of Grass, but the snake looks good in all forms of it's evolution. I can't stand the look of the 1st form of the Water Otter, and it's final form looks like that Digimon from season 1. I'm probably sticking with the Fire pig, even though I don't really like the final form.

Also, is anyone else sad that Brock won't be in the new season of Pokemon?

Guys. Guys. Famitsu gave the game a score of 40/40. THAT'S A PERFECT SCORE.

As for starters, I still don't know who to pick! I'm really thinking about Tsutaaja though 'cause his final looks so BAMF. But Pokabu was the one I liked instantly when I first saw them come out, and Mijumaru's final has an awesome 'stache. Ahhh! I have no idea who I want as my starter!

I really like the new Grass starter. The final form really reminds me of Milotic and the previous two forms look equally awesome.

But I also really like the second form of the Water starter since it kind of reminds me of Buizel. I also like the final form. But then, like you, I can't stand the look of the first form. It's the ugliest starter I have ever seen from Pokemon so far. :/

Ack, I'm torn between the Grass and Water starters...

I just know that I won't choose the Fire starter because even though the first form is absolutely adorable, I can't stand looking at the next two forms. Too bad because usually, I'm a huge Fire starter fan (well, except for Chimchar... I guess the new Fire starters haven't impressed me).



There are definitely a few non-starter Pokemon I know that I want though. I found the Chinchilla and Flying Squirrel Pokemon to be absolutely adorable! I also love that season changing deer Pokemon. And I definitely want one of those awesome Zoruas one day too. 8D

Check out #Pocketmonsters, and their torrent page, They just managed to sub the TV special on both Black and White, and Best Wishes.

Apparently, there will be Seasons in Black and white. Some Pokemon change their appearance depending on what season it is.

Special things will happen on your birthday, they don't say exactly WHAT, but to look around for people and things.

Black and White will have area that look DIFFERENT to each game. Apparently one location will have a 'Black City', while the other will have the 'White Forest'. The actual map and people apparently will be the same. But the appearances will be different.

From what I saw there will be a THREE Pokemon Battle system, don't know how similar it will be to Pokemon Battrio, but I did see three of them on the screen at the same time. Don't know if it will be like Battrio where different positions will do different things.

There was some strange new moves. Only one I saw that got my attention was "Boiling Water", a Water-Type move, that causes the Burn Status.

New Special Pokemon is Victini, from what I saw in the video it will be available for download sometime in Japan for one month.

I think getting past the nostalgia factor, the earlier seasons of Pokemon weren't very good. The quality of the battles in the later seasons are great. The Ash vs Paul rivalry is ideal trainer(anime) vs actual trainer(games). Even most of the coordinator competitions are entertaining to watch. Anyway, the first gym in the Unova region has 3 gym leaders. Depending on which starter you chose, will determine which leader you fight. One of the leaders, Cilan, joins Ash on his adventures.

I have to admit, Sinnoh seasons had their moments, but there was a very low point that I cannot condone.

The winner of the Sinnoh league had TWO legendaries. I know that would excite the kids, but as I grow older I feel a little sad. I bought it for Nolan and Brandon, but that trainer was an unknown! If all it takes is legendary Pokemon to make it "great" than that's disappointing.

Compared to back then, the new series seems more shallow. On the other hand, I do love Pokemon Special. But I digress.

I might get Black, just because I have a habit of buying the first game. I never did buy anything after the original Gold because I felt it was too much of a hassle. I'll probably have to play catch up with everyone else's Pokemon team. Makes it harder for new (or returning) gamers to get into the series. But I'm an optimist. I won't know until I try!

My friends and I had never been to a midnight game premier before, so after watching Rango we took a little sidetrip to Kahala Mall. There was a good number of people there--all ages, some of whom we knew, others were strangers. There was a table of activities, I suppose, and of course, some people battling, but all in all, the atmosphere seemed lack luster.

We were hoping for a mob of screaming lunatics for entertainment, not a neat little line. We came, we saw, we left at six minutes to midnight (did I mention none of us actually reserved said game?). I finally got a LITTLE sleep, and quietly picked up a copy of the game after work the next day at a random Gamestop. The evening was spent playing the game with my little sister, and we were happy.

I think I ruined my starter by battling all those Lilipups and Timburrs in the beginning. My guys are all level 46, and only two of them have their speed stats above 100. All I have going for me is health and attack power. And what kind of professional EV trains health!?

Most of my fellow Pokemon friends are telling me I should just breed a new team after beating the main game. I also realized I clocked in almost sixty hours, but only got as far as the eighth gym. My guys are all level 48 and I've caught over eighty Pokemon.

There is almost no question that you need to raise a new team after beating the game. Well, actually if you just are playing for fun, then it's all good. You can't really control what pokemon you fight while you run through the game anyways, so it's not like you could have done much about not EV training your starter. A lot of work is done after the game is beat, if you are a raising a competitive team. Not only accounting for EVs(which is the easy part), but most people breed until they get the pokemon they want with the right nature. Then, if they want a pokemon with good IVs then that's an even greater amount of time to get the correct IV & nature combination. There is also the fact that some pokemon have great egg moves, but take loads of breeding to get them onto the parent pokemon.

Pokemon takes up a lot of time.

Kind of off topic, but I've been re-reading the manga recently (both Special and Electric Tales of Pikachu) and they had some pretty weird ideas. Two words: Giant Slowpoke. And I'm currently loving the Special manga.

To be completely on topic:
Apparently, I've clocked in 80+ hours already. I remember that the last time I played Red, it said that I played for 150 hours. I'm over half that time and it's only been less than a month! On the other hand, this is the only Pokemon game I am seriously considering restarting. I felt that the story was a BIG improvement and a nice addition to the game above everything else. Sure that means I won't be able to get Victini in-game and I'll have to start from scratch, but I miss Team Plasma and their theme. I miss the felling of experiencing everything "for the first time". I especially miss the gym battle theme that played when the leaders were down to one Pokemon. It was a remix of the original main theme!

I'm having a blast and I'm thinking of starting the game over again. There were a lot of great things that I miss because they're gone after you finish the story.

I bought Pokemon Black and I absolutely adored the deeper story this time around. It wasn't the very typical Team Rocket type situation that we've seen over and over. Instead, I sort of felt like I was the bad guy at times for battling with Pokemon. o_o

But I think the actual Pokemon designs in Black/White felt so rushed. I literally laughed at so many of the dumb designs in the game like that rubbish bag, ice cream cone, gears, etc. I don't think I ever laughed like that at Pokemon designs before. XD

I must admit there were some nice new additions though. Like I love Deerling/Sawsbuck, Zorua/Zoroark, and Minccino/Cincinno. <3

I just wish that they had come out with some better designs for certain Pokemon that I thought were rushed and looked WAY too weird. That was the only real negative aspect of the game overall for me.

It is really great that Pokemon has grown to be a big game even now that it has already been quite a long time since it was released.

I am keen to have any version of Pokemon on my iPhone just because I really enjoyed playing it on my gameboy even before.

All pokemon who participated in the battle will get the set amount of EVs for the battle, the EVs are not 'split/shared' amongst the group. Only the pokemon wearing the Macho Brace will get the bonus EVs, all the rest will get the normal value.

Thanks, looks like I'm going to be 'slow growing' my team. Give them all Xp Share so 1/2 the xp they would normally get is not split into 1/10 of the xp. Since they get full EV. I'll be able to cap them out much earlier.

First Pokemon will be with the IV item and be more tailored out.
