Well crap...I really wish I saw this sooner...they were trying to gather people at about 11 AM. Hopefully you saw the person with the sign and went. When in doubt about the zombie march stuff, try to find one or some of the usual participants or the sign. That's what I was doing when trying to gather additional info...really REALLY sorry I couldn't get to this before the event took place and all I can offer is advice for next year.

Yeah, we're really sorry about the non-information about the march. Those involved are so very appreciative of your support. And that's really the best advice that Michirubaka said--if you spot someone you think may know something, you can always ask. They may be able to give you more information, but because of the improv-ness of the whole thing; they might not know either until the day of. It all depends on what we have and when we have it--if that makes sense.

The even itself is always a tricky system to operate, especially since it is NOT an official kon event.

We need to keep it small, do it quick and without disruption of any other kon functions. It's purely through the grace and kindness of the kon staff, particularly the security, that we're allowed to do it at all. Throughout the years, the size of it has become a factor for the few of us who direct it. So, to keep it safe and NOT a burden to the kon and its staff--we arrange it accordingly.

The last thing we want is to discourage anyone from being part of it, but at the same time, as more and more people become interested--some discouragement and disinterest has to happen for it to continue (again, if that makes sense).

Thank you so much for your support. We all really appreciate your love for the march. It's the main reason why I am locked into my Chris Redfield character on Sundays for Kawaii Kon for these past 5 years!

I always thought it was a flash mob type of thing. When key players are in place, just send out a text blast at some random time and let other interested parties jump in!

Hehe, it's pretty much what it is. Though with every year, we try to mix it up a bit. So it's a pro-long flash mob with directions and cues, etc, primarily for safety reasons :D
