Butishake 2012 - Requests were OPEN but is now CLOSED!!!

Hey everyone!

it's that time again - the butishake request lines are now officially open! Request rules, short and sweet:

1. you may make any type of music requests - all types of music are acceptable at the butishake. Please note, Kawaii Kon is an anime convention, so requests that fall along the conventions line of focus (anime / Japanese / Asian music) may get preferential consideration. However, you free to make any type of musical requests (American, European, Polynesian, etc) and it will be considered for the mix.

2. Although all types of musical requests can be made, please remember that the butishake is a dance first and foremost. I know that some of you will dance to pretty much anything, but the more danceable your song is, the higher consideration it will be given when considering the final mix.

3. the butishake is a video dance, so preference will be given to requests that can provide video links - the better the quality available, the better the chances your video will be picked. Youtube has become the dominate source for videos, including HD content, so go there and try and find the music you'd like to see / hear at the butishake. Although audio-only requests can be made but will be given low priority as some sort of video will have to be created for it.

4. You can make as many requests for the same artist as you'd like, but it is very rare that I will include an artist / group more than twice in any particular butishake.

Beyond that, have at it! I will keep the request lines open for at least the next 6 weeks, maybe longer, depending. Please post your requests with links in this thread!

And lastly, remember that the butishake is 'your' dance - make it what you want!

Hey, I just have a question: Is there going be a DJ before the actual video butishake dance like last time or am I just going off? I remember there was some kind of techno dance person up on stage before the butishake video came up and I was wondering if its possible I have one group who would like to spin for the butishake event. I posted my suggestion earlier so I was just checking if maybe they are eligible to spin for KKon 2012 butishake. I'll let everyone decide or the administrators decide. Thank You

Anyone that knows me, will be gacked to fainting (I'm really conservative... with alittle rebellious streak sometimes), when they find out I have a slight following for P&SG... to say, Scanty and Kneesocks! And I'm just scratching the surface of it all... just the surface now, mind you...

Yeppers... ever since I've met S&K this past year, I've become a hesitant, yet willing closet fannie boy of theirs...

Thanks Buma, I just figured why not try something new, you know, shake things up, and maybe could bring some increase in attendance for Kawaii-kon because people actually follow where they go for their music, but of course, its all based on building that reputation and I feel that this event could be one of them to help increase that rep. Hence, thanks again for letting me get an input, but yea if something comes up would be nice.
