Mascots

Kawaii Kon would like to introduce you to our very own mascots! Appearing here in their "fantasy cosplay", they are:­

Nami
Female
17 years old
Hair - Pink
Eyes - Purple

Very sweet and kind, Nami seems to get along with everyone she meets. Always trying to be helpful and looking for the good in people, she sometimes comes off as naive, but always genuine. Nami looks out for Takeshi, who she sees as a little brother.

A fan of anime since she was very young, Nami was ecstatic when she heard Hawaii was finally getting it's own anime con. Her favorite anime are mainly "shojo" series, but she likes the occasional action anime too. Now she helps us out as one of our Official Mascots!

Nami means "wave" in Japanese.

Takeshi
Male
14 years old
Hair - Black
Eyes - Blue

When most people meet Takeshi, their first impression might be that he is a rascal or a brat. Eager to prove himself, he sometimes tries a little too hard to impress others and show he is not "weak".

But beneath that hard exterior, beats a heart of gold. Though he wouldn't admit it, Takeshi cares a great deal for others, and is a loyal friend.

He's known Nami all his life, and looks up to her like a big sister. He hates it when she "parents" him, as he puts it, but deep down, he knows he can always count on her.

One day, while hiking with Nami, Takeshi heard a small, high pitched cry coming from the forest. Running off to investigate, he found a furry, baby "something" curled up in a tree stump. Insisting that Nami allow him to keep her and raise her, Takeshi named her "Ai-Chan", after the sound she makes..."Ai!"

An anime fan who loves alot of action, Takeshi agreed to become a Kawaii Kon Mascot, as long as Ai-Chan could come along. Of course we agreed!

Takeshi means "strong" or "brave" in Japanese.

Isn't Ai-chan the cutest........um.............Ai-chan you've ever seen? Even Takeshi, the boy who found her in a forest isn't sure what she is. What we do know is that she loves Takeshi and Nami, her favorite drink is Orange-Passion juice, and that she can communicate just fine, even though her vocabulary consists of one word- Ai!

Ai-chan is our furriest, and arguably our cutest, Mascot!
