Q: Is there going to be a hotel special?
We currently do not have a hotel special for 2012.

Q: What if I do not have both, my confirmation email & photo I.D.?
It is MANDATORY to bring a photo ID when picking up your pass. (Children under the age of 12, accompanied by a parent or guardian, do not require a photo ID.) IMPORTANT! If a photo ID is not present then the Registration staff will not release the pass. A print out of the confirmation email is GREATLY ENCOURAGED especially if you are picking up children’s passes.

Q: I want to transfer my pass to someone else. How do I go about doing this?

Q: Can I pick up my friend's pass?
Yes; However, the pass owner has to fill out the form located HERE by March 8th, 2012. IMPORTANT! At the time of picking up your friend’s pass a photocopy of the pass owner’s photo ID –AND- confirmation e-mail must be presented to the staff. Failure to comply, pass will not be released to anyone other than the name registered on the badge.

Q: Can I pick up my group's passes?
Yes; please fill out the form located HERE by March 8th, 2012. Please be aware that the Registration Dept. will only allow people to pick up for groups if the passes are purchased in 1 to 3 order numbers. Minimum number of people to be considered a group pick up is 5. Maximum amount of people under one group pick-up request is 30. If the guidelines are not followed then the Registration Dept. will not accept the request. Failure to comply, pass will not be released to anyone other than the name registered on the badge.

Q: Where am I able to buy a ticket before the convention starts?
You are able to buy a ticket online HERE. These tickets are considered to be Pre-Registered tickets.

Q: If I buy a pass online will it be faxed or mailed to me?
No; You will receive a confirmation email. Please print out the email and bring it with you to the convention along with your photo I.D. (driver license, state id, passport, school id, etc.) and stand in the PRE-REGISTRATION line that your last name would be under.

Q: What do I do if I pre-registered at last year’s convention but didn't receive a confirmation?
Email the Registration Director at registration@kawaii-kon.org indicating that you did not receive it. Include your full name and current email address.

Q: What is the cutoff date for online orders?
March 3rd, 2012 (Cut off date is tentative)

Q: I ordered my pass online but I lost my confirmation email. May you resend it?
No; You are able to log back into eventbrite.com and print it out.

Q: Where do I go to pick up my pass?
The Registration booths; they will be located at the Hawaii Convention Center on the 3rd floor in the middle of the Concourse.

Q: What is required to pick up my pre-registered pass?

There may be multiple people with the same name as your name and the confirmation email will help us find your pass faster. We would like to thank you for being considerate to other people in line.

Q: What types of photo IDs are accepted?
Registration will accept the following forms of ID (Drivers License, State ID, School ID, Passports, & Military ID).

Q: What time are we allowed to line up on Thursday night?
5:30PM. If you come earlier, we may ask you to sit on the side and out of the way. Registration will be opening at 7:00PM to hand out Pre-Registered passes ONLY.

Q: If I pre-registered do I have to pick up my pass on Thursday?
No; you can pick up your pass on any day. Registration offers the convenience of the Thursday night pick-up for those who wish to enjoy Kawaii Kon® without losing time in the registration lines.

Q: Will you be accepting Walk-In Registrations on Thursday?
Should the lines die down with pre-registrations, we might take some walk ups for Three-Day Passes only.

Q: What registration line do I get in if I pre-registered or is there only one line?
There will be multiple lines marked “PRE-REGISTRATION” that are marked with letter groups. Please go into the line in which your last name starts with.

Q: If I’m only going to be purchasing a day pass, will I be able to purchase it on Friday for a different day?
Unfortunately no; one day passes will need to be purchased on the day that you decide to attend.

Q: What happens if I lose my pass during the kon?
First, please check the lost and found at the Information Desk to see if someone turned it in. If your pass is not at Lost & Found then you would have to buy a replacement pass for $10(children) –OR- $15(adult) the first time the pass is lost. The second time the pass is lost the cost will be the same price as a one-day pass. Registration will be tracking the number of times the pass is lost. A photo ID is required for the replacement. Your pass will be the same as the one that was lost. (For example, if a “Friday-Saturday” pass was lost on Saturday morning then a “Friday-Saturday” pass will be reissued. Replacement fees are non-refundable.

GE2 (Kawaii Kon®) reserves the right to penalize those who abuse this policy by confiscating your passes, expulsion from Kawaii Kon®, & issuing a ban from future Kawaii Kon® events.

Q: When will Pre-Registration for Kawaii Kon 2013 happen during the convention?
The At-Convention Pre-Registrations for Kawaii Kon 2013 will open on Saturday at 12PM.

Q: Will Kawaii Kon observe Hawaii's Compulsory School Attendance (Truancy) Law on Friday?
Yes, since the Friday of the convention is a school day and being that Kawaii Kon is a convention that is dedicated to creating a broader awareness & appreciation for Japanese animation and culture, we encourage the education of the attending students. Registration will have access to a list of schools that do not have session on the Friday of the convention. If the student provides a school ID that is on said list, from a different island or state, or if the child is with a parent then we will allow them to register before 2PM. If not, then they have to wait until after 2PM. The public school calendar for Hawaii can be found HERE.

Q: What are the "At-Door" registration prices?

Q: What times will Registration be open?
The schedule is tentative. On Friday or Saturday, Registration may close earlier to accommodate the staff attending and checking in people to the Moonlight Ball.
